EDUCATION AND TRACK RECORD

University of Würzburg, with advanced course in European law – Qualification: “European Lawyer” (Univ. Würzburg)“, PhD in 2011 with a thesis on “Group-level enforceability of rights to information under labour relations law” (awarded the joint Science Prize of the University of Würzburg and the Unterfränkische Gedenkjahrsstiftung as one of the best theses of 2011). Positions with Deutsche Bank AG and Noerr LLP; worked for the international commercial law practice Beiten Burkhardt from 2011 to 2016, most recently as partner.

COMPETENCIES AND SPECIALITIES

Dr Bitsch advises and represents multinationals, mid-sized enterprises and public institutions in questions of labour law. He has a particular specialisation in questions of labour relations and rights of codetermination, employment contract law for board members and labour law in corporate groups. Moreover, he has considerable expertise in restructuring and post-transaction projects.
