EDUCATION AND TRACK RECORD
First degree at the University of Applied Sciences – Public Administration and Finance Ludwigsburg, graduating as “Diplom Verwaltungswirt (FH)”. Work for Deutsche Rentenversicherung (DRV) in the areas of social security, international law and contribution law. Universities and legal clerkship in Heidelberg, Constance, Heilbronn and London (UK). After graduating, Mr Fausel worked for the international commercial and labour law practices CMS Hasche Sigle and Simmons & Simmons LLP. Before founding BLUEDEX, Mr Fausel was a member of the law firm Beiten Burkhardt from 2011 to 2016 – especially as partner – where he was responsible for the legal aspects of the firm’s posting policy.
He established the BLUEDEX practice in 2016 to increase his focus on (international) labour law. In addition, he is founder of the postings initiative “Arbeits-WELT-Recht” and sits on the Supervisory Board of the auditing and tax consultancy firm Lehleiter + Partner Treuhand AG.
COMPETENCIES AND SPECIALITIES
Michael R. Fausel has particular expertise in advising multinational corporations, mid-sized enterprises and public institutions in all matters relating to labour and social security law. His specialties include international HR deployment (staff postings and leasing) and consultancy on entry to the global markets, as well as issues relating to contract design under labour law and the implementation of staff cutback measures and protection against dismissal proceedings.
